Stifling & drowning

Did not managed to blog yesterday as I was tired & busy doing Instru report.. Too many unfinished business today as well since I need to prepare questions for SCI major asgmt discussion 2mr. Have to start doing SCI asgmt 2 wth Rene also 2mr. Tiring & sleepy already. I've gotta touch up my instru report & then get ready everything for 2mr's discussions (not 1 but 2!!) :s My head is spinning already..


Gonna recapitulate Mon & Tue's events when I find time.. Cross my fingers & pray hard. Thank god Thurs is a public holiday, so I have time to finish up Cell Met asgmt 2. Phew, drowning in a sea of asgmts & reports.. *faint*..

What a day..

I hate the weather today. Hot & stuffy without the rain.. Ugghh, made me so sweaty while I was plopped downstairs wth my lappie in midst of doing work & net surfing. Had some tong sui tht mummy made..

Came home tonight from dinner at my grandma's place in ss3. Not going out for the usual dinner since my grandparents wanted to cook dinner.. Sis had early dinner at 1u for her celebration of her school house team winning the cheerleading event in the SMKDJ Sports Day. Congratulations to her team winning, I know tht she's proud to win cos she was confident tht either her team or another team would be winner since other teams sucked.. XD Tht's my sis, arrogant, prud & confident.. Also a major vainpot in the making.. So I'm happy tht she won!! Yayy..

I watched Lost on my lappie last night.. Finally Lost has resumed after a short hiatus of a mth or so.. So confusing & intriguing as usual watching it.. I just can't stop wanting for more!!! Pray tht the oncoming episodes wud be great as usual.. Awaiting patiently for 2nd season of GG (Gossip Girls) to be on.. Expect bitchery, cat fights, teenage melodramas of the Manhattan elite society.. Looking out for their fabulous clothes they wear on set too.. ;p

Disappointing encounter at Atlantis

Tonight had dinner with our ex-neighbour, Aunt Tricia & her family at Atlantis Restaurant, Kota Damansara. The seafood which was acclaimed to be fresh from Sabah, was not really fresh & tht good.. The food sucks wei compared to Unique Seafood Restaurant. No pics were taken because it would be rude taking my cam out & taking pics of the food when everyone's busy digging in.. I would have taken pics if it was just dinner wth my family. Gotta pay respects to other ppl ya know.. ;p

Crabs were not nice, the salted egg crab didn't really taste like salted egg, it was like a fake imitation of it.. The "kam heong" style of crab I didn't even touch it seeing tht the crabs weren't very fresh.. & I was lazy to use my hands to dig in.. Not in the mood for crabs.. >.<> weird, lotus itself is bland already, the dish was just stir frying it in butter.. Duuhh, even I can cook tht dish.. ;p

See? The prawns at Unique Seafood were much much better, no additional sauce required..
Just by itself, it tasted superbly fresh & sweet!!!

The steamed big hard shelled clams were fresh, but I don't like to eat clams, or mussels plain just like tht without sauce.... It'll be too "fishy" taste for me. So I only ate few pieces of it.. The only dish I ate most was the butter prawns.. The prawns were nothing compared to those I ate at Unique Seafood but the butter & egg crisps tht u know comes along wth it was the only thing tht made the prawn nice kay.. Well, our first time at the restaurant since Uncle Edward & Aunt Tricia were treating us dinner.. But for our family, it'll be a BIG no-no to come back for a second time.. I definitely don't agree with some of the reviews I saw online tht this restaurant is "great", it's not as good as I'd expected... :S



Overall, it's not the type of restaurant my family would come considering it's food quality & high price which we could have had better at other restaurants.. But since it was a gathering and catch up session wth one another, it's pretty good chatting up wth Mabel & James.. The next dinner gathering would most prolly be on my dad, few months later.. ^_^ Definitely would go to a better place..



P.S. Woke up almost 10 by my "dream" in which was really weird, it was like a movie scene wth me & my family in it plus some intense car speeding moments...tht's all I rmb.. hahah, a sign of too much stressed from asgmts/reports already!! Today had Gen Lect by Dr Robin, Instru lecture by Dr Lim which was as usual boring for whole 2 hrs.. :S During the break from Instru, me & Rene went to Robin's room to collect our Gen essays. Darn, quite pissed off wth our marker the way she marked our reports, our format for references has been alright all these while (2 yrs of reports writing!!) until this B-I-T-C-H circled on the paper tht we need to BOLD the table & figures headings & there were no brackets for the year!!! Ughhh, spoiled my mood for the second half of the class considering tht my marks for it was not what I'd expected. Damn, I wonder whther she's our marker for our Paper Analysis & Arabidopsis report. If she is, I can expect worst things to come.. >.<






Drove back home today cos bro tumpang his fren's car as they were going 1u later. After lunch ard 3 smtg, me & mum went to JPJ in PJ State to renew my P to Complete driving license. I'm a total road blind person, even if I'd been to PJ State, if u asked me to drive there.. Haha, no wayyy.. I wun rmb where it is.. unless I'd drove to there more than 10 times.. It was quite fast lah, whole thing done in like 15 mins or so. But I had waited longer in the car later for bout 30 mins plus, cos Mum went to renew my doggie's license in MBPJ building nearby.






Now 5 smtg, i'm back home.. Listening to songs.. XD Later have to do my Instru report & search info on my Cell Met asgmt 2. Have to read up & set interview questions for SCI. -_- I'm still undecided whther I'm going or not to the Monash Street Carnival 2mr. Hmmph.. Haven't made my mind whether to volunteer myself for duty shift at the LEO booth. Nini said she wants to go to carnival during the evening 2mr, but most prob she wun go one lah, considerating her past records of ffk-ing. We'll see how.. ;p

Lunch at Italiannies & GC Lab

Went lunch at Italiannies wth Rene, Ruenn, TL & Ah Mo today. Supposed to go Pyramid earlier becos Rene wanted to redeem the McD Sausage McMuffin for breakfast which lasts till 11am only, haha, but I hadn't finished my Instru report. We went to Pyramid by courtesy of Rene's so-called "model" fren who is sooo totally unexpected, short instead of tall, fair feminine features instead of macho, hunky guy we expected. TL or Rene even commented tht is he "bak zham gai".. XD Cos his legs are sooo thin & fair, hairless too.. :s

We had the set lunch for 4 which consisted of 1 appetiser, 3 main meals & 1 dessert.. This time the food was a disappointment compared to last time (Eling's bday lunch). Camwhored here & there a bit then headed back to uni for 1pm Cell Met lect. Shrimp Linguine looked good but was kinda weird tasting salty even wth soo much tomato sauce, Minestrone Soup so-so only (Marsala Mushroom soup was much better) wth the small pathetic portion so called for 4 persons!!! Even 1 or 2 persons could finish it!! Garlic Chicken Pizza was better off but slightly dry, Grilled Chicken Milanese was chicken breast meat in creamy sauce, 3 pathetic small pieces of chicken. We had Raisin Bread Pudding instead of Cappucino Pie which was not ready, the pudding was too yucky.. Sweet, not even a lot of raisins wth the bread soaked in the sweet sauce, not definitely my type of dessert!! My last visit here was definitely better!!

After tht was Instru Lab where we observed how GC was done. In between sampling time which was very long, we were chitchatting & gossiping wth Eric our lab demo. He told us about the science office politics & scandalous profiles of the science lecturers.. Hoho, heard some inside stories which were "interesting".. ;p Didn't really knew tht in science course there are also so much politics to be dealt wth.. Truly an eye-opening experience.. XD

Day by day

Time flies. Today we went to see Dr Chow in his office for the SCI major assignment lab allocation. He really lives up to his name. Really impassive & strict face thoughout the whole briefing he was giving us on the the asgmt & blah bla bla, complainting about why most students failed his asgmt 1, this & that. So far he's the first lecturer I really dislike his attitude. ;p




After we were allocated Micro Lab 2 for inspection, me, Ruenn, Adrian, Chay Lynn & Celeste went to find the lab tech in charge to set the time for our interview & lab inspection. When we were there, no one was to be seen in the lab, Ruenn & Chay Lynn even took some pics as evidence because there was so flammable items left lying around & the trolleys were obtructing the walkways in the lab. ;p I went to the autoclave room outside & found the lab tech. We then discussed and made the appointment for our lab safety inspection & interview session on the 1st week of May.






As this is a MAJOR asgmt, we are doing the inspection & interview as a group of 8 (Me, Rene, Ruenn, Nini, TL, Chay Lynn, Henry & Celeste) but the reports we would be doing in pairs. So 4 reports per group. Tsk tsk, living up the Chow's super high expectations would be challenging, but I think our group would do our very best!! We don't by looked down by him!!! Hmmpph.. I won't lose!!





Waited for Rene to finish as she stayed back till 12.45pm to finish up her lab work. Ruenn & TL then headed out to medan@Rock Cafe for lunch. Me & Rene had lunch at Cinta Ria @ DJ Damansara Jaya. I ordered Cantonese Kuey Teow since I haven't eaten it in a while, Rene ate Oven Grilled Chicken because she can't take too much carbo, fats & sugar. Prices for chinese & western food are reasonable, no wonder office workers & even DJ secondary students were there for lunch. Next time I would try out their western food, maybe their sandwiches.. XD Maybe our next yumcha destination should be here since the atmosphere is quite comfy & I think it's easier to find parking here than at Village Park, Uptown.






After lunch, we went browsing ard at Atria. Nothing much to see there as usual, the place is sooo outdated man. Dunno how those shops survive wth their sky high prices of clothes etc, which can be found wayyyy cheaper online... :s Rene then said she wants to go Amour to browse, so there we went. I tried on the Little Miss Naughty tees but found em kinda not fitting as it should be. So we both left there empty handed.. Which should be good news.. Hahah, have to try to limit my purchases already.. X)






Now back home, blogging & watching my fav HK drama. Gotta continue my Instru report & finish it tonight. Gambatte!!

Like REALLY

Damn, my bad luck seems to have continued from yesterday. Like really. I just so wanna kick my own butt for being careless & all wth the car. In case u've haven't heard, I reversed the car (the Gen2) into the bushes & hit the freakin huge rock. So the back underside bumper ended being damaged, there's like a big hole on it under the car number plate. ;( Felt like killing myself when it happened!!! The worst thing is I was going to drive the other car (Saga) this morning, but in the end my dad told me to drive this car.. >.< I'm more used to tht car, so I prolly wouldn't had this stupid idiot accident if I drove the Saga. Well, but still I was careless for not reversing slowly. NO more next time, I shall do parking wth extra extra care & 100% alert!!!








Then on a happier note, I did my COD wth the seller of Piece de Mode e-boutique today in Pyramid while we'r there having McD. I got my chequered button-up blouse, I adore the 2 rows of buttons, cute!! It kinda makes my hips look wider wth its slightly balloon shaped cutting, but I'll prolly won't button the bottom few buttons for a slimmer effect. Darn it wasn't long enough for me to wear it as a short dress, & the coloured turned out to be not as nice as I'd expected. Next time I should follow my gut feelings & just take the original colour I had in mind. :p Today me & Ruenn was listing down all the duedates of the oncoming asgmts & reports tht needs to be handed in. Damn, there's a lot of work to be done.

Well, better get a head start on my Instru Report 5 due this Thurs. Thank goodness this Friday there's no Gen Lab, hooray!!! Class finishes at 1pm... But for Rene & Nini 2pm because of their Gen tut.
