Feeling the blues

Went to Pyramid today for lunch & Rene drove because was meeting up her Pre-U fren for a while. We tried out Station Kopitiam which was in Asian Avenue, the food tht came did not even looked close to those on the menu!! I tried the Thai Style Fried Rice same as Rene. Food was so-so only. :s




Toilets at Asian Avenue had nicer decor than other parts of the mall.. Funny rite.?

Today's career fair had nicer booths and some tht was science/biotech related. We signed up for updates etc. Then it was work-in-progress again for my Instru asgmt.. >.<>

Attack of the MONKEYS!!

Bad Fat Tuesday

Had early early "lunch" today at ard 9 smtg. Me & Rene walked to Medan a.k.a. Rock Cafe. I had to eat smtg "clear" so I just ordered kuay teow soup wth shredded chicken & fish balls. Stomach was soo full after tht. On the way back, we had to stop by Rene's car near the jungle to grab our books. What a shock, when we saw MONKEYS running from one car to another.

When we approached Rene's car, one big sized monkey, prolly the leader was on top of Rene's car. We tried to shoo them but to no avail. Then I suggested Rene to use her car alarm to scare them away. Omgosh, when the alarm blasted out, the big monkey screeched & looked ready to pounce on us & attack. Such a close call cos we were standing quite near. Rene when to get for help while I was alone there staring at the STUPID monkey. Whenever I glance back at it, it would bare its teeth and was ready to jump off the car to attack me.. I was praying for Rene to come back quickly cos I didn't dare to make too much movements.



Finally, the guard came back & he used his baton to shoo the monkeys away. Damn ganas (fierce) the monkeys were, screeching & wanted to attack the guard as well. But as soon as the monkeys were high up in the trees, we quickly grabbed our books from her car. Phew.. So glad it was over. I HATE monkeys more than ever from now onwards.. The car beside Rene's (Myvi as well) had the whole rubber/metal lining on the left side of the rooftop pulled out. >.<

By noon, Chay-lynn dropped by uni to pick TL, me, Ruenn & Rene up & we headed to Pyramid. She wanted to get a pair of of covered flats for lab, so we went walking ard. She finally found wat she like at Parkson ard Rm50++ after 50% off. Quite a deal actually considering originally it was RM100+ :s Lunch was at Wendy's. Everyone had Wendy's burgers or nuggets except for me, I wasn't feeling up to it & decided to walk over to McD's to try out the Spicy Chicken Wrap. It was quite nice wth the spiciness of the crispy chicken piece, but I don't really favour the thin pita bread wrap (dunno whther it was too bland or too cold) :s Had Green Apple Ice-Cream as well cos Rene wanted to buy ice-cream to get free Sausage McMuffin coupon. Greedy her. X) Overall decision was not to go Wendy's next time. McD's french fries & burgers are BETTER.

After Gen lect at 2, me & Rene stopped by & registered ourselves at some of the booths at Career Fair. Some of em ran out of forms & flyers/booklets, aiks :s Lesson learnt. Next time must be register earlier!! When we walked to Rene's car later. Thankfully the monkeys were gone. But not so good news to her car.. Her poor baby suffered damages from the monkeys attack!! Apparently the antenna attack wasn't the first time, few wks back hers was also broken by the monkeys!! But this time, they also pulled out the whole rubber/metal lining on the left side of the rooftop!! I noticed it bcos I found a portion of the broken metal lying on the ground!!


Damn outrageous the monkeys were. There was a pile of "gold" on the car roof which was the goodbye gift from them. So disgusting!!







On the way back home, Rene persuaded me to drive out later & meet her at Upstairs boutique, Damansara Perdana. But I was too lazy to drive out d, although I was tempted when I saw online their sales were ending TODAY!! Ended up re-attempting to use Bluetooth to transfer pics from hp to lappied. Finally my hp was installed then I was happily transferring some of the pics I wanna upload to my blog. Haahha.. Then was busy editing some of it wth captions & filters.. HoooHoo.. Had fun trying out my editing software!! Yippee.. ;p








Read Rene's blog later in the evening. She bought a white button tube (always buying tubes!!! her obsession wth it, tsk tsk). & previously she got a miniskirt & white ballerina flats!!! The flats was what I was eyeing for so long already & the price!! OMG, if I saw the price I would have grabbed it no matter WHAT as long as it was ballerina flats!! SERENE CHUAH is so my shopping ENEMY right now!!! Iiish.. Why is luck not on my side?? Pity me for once pls. ;(
Plus she added that SALES at UPSTAIRS is extended until stock is finished!! Yeah, definitely gonna make a trip there some time soon. Hopefully there'll be some good bargains!!

Taking things in stride

As quoted by Dr Ton my Cell Met lecturer a.k.a smiley witch spinster (u'll do why if u've seen her), "Let's recapitulate what we did yesyerday..."


So let's recapitulate what I did on my weekends & today Monday..


Carefree Saturday, Awful Sunday & Hardworking Monday.



Had a very relaxing Saturday which i passed by watching my US tv dramas eg. CSI, etc. Unfortunately, Sunday was NOT good at all for me. Most of the day was spent lazing ard since I woke up quite late at 12pm noon, & then resumed work on my Gen paper analysis. Although i still had quite a lot more to finish up, I took time off to answer Henry's personal survey :s I was prolly having good mood. Normally, I won't do such surveys but since he pestered me to do it on Saturday I did it.




There were a lot of questions ard 22 i think.. Some of it, hahah i think only a person as thick faced as Henry can ask lah. Funny. ;p

X) LOL, reading back I realized how funny I answered his survey & was very long-winded too. X) Who cares? I jus wrote what I think.





Back to Sunday, I was having a "good" day doing my Gen paper analysis when my diarrhea became worst at night when I reached home after dinner at my grandma's.. I assumed my "session" in the afternoon was normal. But at night, it became worst. My stomach was bloated & windy & I kept feeling of vomitting whenever I burp. Too much gases in my stomach & indigestion prolly :s I took some of my bro's meds (he had diarrhea also few days before) & went to bed leaving 2 questions of my Gen paper unfinished.





Was trying my best to sleep, & somehow in a matter of seconds my instincts took over & I ran into the toilet & puked my dinner out.. I guess the my aunt's cheesecake was the trigger, including the pizza I had for lunch. Too much dairy products. :s
My stomach was empty but I felt much much better. Mum told me to take a sachet of ORS (oral rehydration salt) which was smtg like Eno I guess, to be consumed after vomitting to replenish the bodily fluids. After that, I flopped onto bed & slept.
During midnight I had to go toilet again & I had fever. Luckily I had some paracetamol in my room ;p






Then on Monday i was woken up by my bro ard 7.20am rushing me to get ready. >.<>






Made myself some honey water & then continued sleeping. Miraculously I woke up ard 10am, ate few bites of cereal (w/o milk of course), meds. Then decided to trot downstairs wth my lappie to start on my Instru report. Gasp. First time I started doing work so early in the morning, must be a miracle. Hehe.. Actually it was due to motivation from Rene, she told me yday she had finished 99% of her report. :s I felt bad for not doing it during my weekends. So there went my day today spent doing my report & in between watching Survivor.





Smtg interesting happened today when I was in car wth mum. Was driving her out to OCBC bank in DU & drop by pharmacy to get my meds. It occured to me later it was my first time cursing in front of my mum. X) LOL




I was driving on the outer lane and there was a freaking Kelisa jerking to a stop at a turn out from the Uptown 1 or 2 office buildings, I braked & i think 5 seconds later, he wasn't turning out. So I decided to continue going ahead la. Damn tht bastard, the moment I drove ahead, he decided to turn out!!! Freakings idiots!! Now I rmb during the 5 seconds stop, he & his fren had tht cari pasal look & was cynically laughing at for-gods-sake-dunno-wat.





Tht was the moment when the words flew out from my mouth before I could stop myself X) "What the heck, f*** him la, dunno how to drive!!". Then as soon as my mum digested the words, she was saying, "Oooi, do not curse blah bla bla..". I defended myself saying, "It's his fault la, give way to him don't wanna move, blah bla bla.." Thinking back, it was quite a memorable experience.. Hahaha.. X) cursing in front of my mum.




Nothing interesting happened later on. So that's all. Hugs & kisses.

Collages of buffet dinner at Essence Imperial Hotel. Had a great time. Camwhoring, i mean. No wait, had to comment on their good service & the hotel's FABULOUS interior design!!

Desserts galore: (cw from l-r) chocolate dipped strawberries, raspberry tart, creme brulee, cheescake, chocolate mud cake on plate, enjoying red wine, ice-cream (Pleasantly Pistachio + Cheesy Fig), red wine, blueberry pastry, peach tart, etc, strawberry jelly in shot glass & cakes.

Interior of restaurant: cozy & ambient, having a good time drinking wine.

Sinful temptations: Strawberry jelly in glass, SEAFOOD- raw oysters wth lemon (must have), prawns, mussels, chicken roulade, salad.

More food: (cw l-r) salad, smoked salmon, baked cheese oyster, prawn salad on 1st plate, seafood cocktails wth scallops, caviar & fruits, sushi, baked cheese oysters etc.

Mouthwatering dishes: (cw l-r) Ginger stir fried beef, tomato pasta (really good!!), raw oysters + salad, cheers of celebration, smoked salmon, chicken salad, chicken satay (delicious neh), yummielicious Beef Wellington tht is chicken baked in a loaf-like pastry served wth brown sauce

Essen-tials of the day

Overslept today & woke up about 7.40am, rushed to get ready. Reached uni about 8.15am for SCI Benjamin Li's tutorial. Gosh, it was boring as usual. Enough for me to doze off wei.. :s Not to mention tht I forgo-ed Cell Met lect for his tut & yet it ended early around 8.30am!! Phishh :x
We went cafe for breakfast since Rene has no other break for the rest of the day. I had fried rice wth egg. Ate it wthout really tasting the rice, felt like I was jus eating for the sake of eating. >.<








Today's Gen lab was b-o-r-i-n-g as usual!!! We did the same thing as last week jus wth a different gene!!! Since there was quite a lot of waiting time in btween, we camwhored!! First time camwhoring, I must say Robin would throw a fit wth "It tht wat u do in lab??" Sh** him la, Dr B.O. wth a tooth gap!! First time I've met someone wth such BAD B.O.. It's really hard to take in, trust me. Our fast teamwork today enabled us to finish lab early!!!








We left uni ard 4.30pm, got stuck in stupid LDP bcos of 2 IDIOTS whose cars broke down not far from one another!!! What a bummer.. Then wth me in Rene's car, met up wth Nini at SS2's KTZ (Kei Tak Zek, i think should be tis spelling) for yumcha session. I had a simple mak chuk tong sui. Had to leave space in my stomach for the buffet dinner later. Reached home ard 5.30pm, then had to be busy getting ready for dinner which was booked at 7.30pm. Managed to dry my hair in time when Daddy reached home. We left hse & reached our destination ard 7.50pm or so.









Was totally blown away by the absolutely gorgeous interior design of the Hotel. Definitely much much better than many other KL hotels I've seen. Lots of nice backdrops to camwhore & play ard wth. Tht's wat we ended up doing after dinner ended. Dinner was nice, service was good, had red wine, desserts were absolutely orgasmic!!!







My top fav was the Blueberry Pastry Slices, Cheesecake & ice-cream!! The pastry was really nice, soft enough to sink ur teeth into but yet not oily at all compared to usual pies wth nice toppings of blueberries. Cheesecake was really soft & fluffy. Not too "cheesy taste" tht some cheesecake have after eating more servings. But I limited myself to a small square of cheesecake. Can't OVEREAT!! I had 2 flavours of ice-cream, Mango Passion & Cheesy Fig which name doesn't give credit to it at ALL! Mango was a bit too sour-ish & Cheesy Fig too plain by itself. Together, both made a heavenly combination!! Desserts. Tht's what I call orgasmic!!!






Took lots of pics while eating & after we left restaurant at the hotel's lobby. Camwhored in the lobby area which has great decor!!! It was really high class.






Pics will be uploaded in the next post or u may drop by my friendster to check it out. Hehe. :p But after this buffet, our conclusion was tht we missed eating japanese buffet in Saisaki. After all, our whole family loves to eat jap food.. ;) That's all. ^____^

Feeling good, no?

Just had dinner & feeling the mood to blog. So here i am. Blogging. Today was quite happy because for the first time, me & Rene managed to be the first group to finish Instru lab. Haha, we had good teamwork today, & miraculously I wasn't blur about the experiment. Tada, we left lab at 3.40-ish pm, feeling bubbly. Rene dahling was my transporter today & in usual routine, whenever we leave uni early, Rene would suggest to go boutiques!! Yeah, relieve stress.. We wanted to go to SS2 for maniucure/pedicure, but the bookings were full. No luck i guess..





Instead, we decided to head to D. Uptown for boutiques & wondermilk's cupcakes tht Rene wanted to try. I know the cupcakes are too pretty to eat, the price was pretty expensivc as well considering tht it's so small. RM4.5o for a 2 inch cupcake?!! Gasp.. :s Rene opted for RM 15 for 4 Maxi cupcakes (2 inches). I decided to pass since I dun really have sweet tooth cravings for cupcakes. Though the cafe was very quaint & cozy. A good hang-out place wth friends no doubt.




We also dropped by the usual places: Amos, where they had so called sales. Their sales are prolly weekly or fortnightly. Always seem to have sales. But their recent collection was so-so. I tried out a polka-dot button up blouse in black & in white. I was searching for a white top to pair wth my plaid dress. The polka top was cute but RM40 was not what I had in mind since I was eyeing a similar one but plain white blouse in Amour for just RM30. Rene tried her smocked dress but we both decided not to limit our options & browse other boutiques first.






Next stop was Amour. Their recent collection was nice, but few items i've seen sold online but at higher prices. Rene immediately attacked the smocked tops/dresses while I browsed for a white blouse. Amour still manages to maintain its low price range of clothes as its main attraction. After trying a few items tht I previously saw online, the lesson learnt was LUCKY I did not buy any of it online. The flowery dress from TicTacToe looked too preggers on me!! Prolly the gals from TTT were S size and more petite. :s




Another blue satin babydoll was uber C-U-T-E but because of my height, it was short & seemed to only emphasize my wide hips. :s Fortunately, I found a white button up blouse wth cuffed sleeves tht looked just like what I had in mind. It came wth a b/w striped satin sash tht can be fashioned as a ribbon for the top. Before leaving, I checked out the Little Miss tees tht Mun was always looking for. At Rm20, it's really a steal. Was thinking of buying one for sis/me. I had my eye on the Little Miss Greedy & Little Miss Curious, but the beige colour for Little Miss Greedy was last piece item. The words were a lil faded. So I gave a pass on both items. Definitely will be bringing my sis back to try this weekend. :p








After reaching home, I tried on the white blouse wth my plaid dress & matched it wth a wide white waist cincher so tht I wouldn't look preggers. Haha, I think the overall look was okay. Definitely gonna wear tht look for the Essence buffet (I mentioned yday) tomorrow night. So tomorrow will definitely eat light lunch & keep my stomach free to savour the mouthwatering dishes. yay!!

It has been raining every late noon or evening recently.

So the song "Teardrops on my guitar" was stuck in my brain whenever it rains.
Don't ask me why, maybe it's bcos teardrops are almost = raindrops? The song is also so mellow & the catchy lyrics makes it so lovable.



"Take a bow" by Leona Lewis is also another recent fav song.
Love it's unique start & I love her voice. Definitely gonna be on my playlist for some time. U can listen to both songs on my mp3 player at the bottom. x)

I'm too hooked up on US & TVB dramas, fashion blogs & online boutique-hopping. Been a good gal recently. Never spend a lot buying clothes from online boutiques. Prolly cos nothing really catches my eye.
Just got a absolutely cute piece from Sugadollies tht spells G-R-A-B- M-E the moment my eyes fall upon it.

Wearing it to uni seems a bit too much, since I lack flawless & superbly slim legs. & I want to find a white top tht I can wear under it for the preppy Gossip Girl look. It's heart-shaped neckline & cut really is flattering.





Today had lunch at Sakae Sushi@Pyramid wth Rene, Ruenn, Nini, Adrian a.k.a TL & Henry. Decided to skip Wendy's after looking at their menu. But I will give it a try next time. Some of us weren't enthusiastic about it, plus we had a dieter among us. It's miss Rene a.k.a Zara-fanatic. Who is already slim & yet was willing to pay to slim down.
I don't have money for this kind of thing anyway. :x





After lunch, hitched a ride home on Rene's car.
She had a facial appointment booked at CNS-dunno what's the full name at 1pm in DU. We managed to spot a nice parking. Lucky day. But not such a lucky day for the man whose bag got snatched.
Right in front of my eyes.
People say seeing is believing.


After witnessing a snatch theft, it's so scary to imagine if my bag was snatched.
Have to be EXTRA EXTRA CAREFUL of motorcyclist on the road now.
It was jus a matter of few seconds. One second I was looking at my phone outside 7 - 11. Next second I looked up, a motorcyclist was pulling a bag from a man standing right beside the driver's door. I guess he was jus getting out of the car to do banking. He was parked beside OCBC beside 7 -11. So sad to see him kept yelling "Snatch thief" & was running after the thief.



Imagine if I had lost my bag( gasp!! choi choi choi~~):
My purse - cash, id cards, atm card etc
My pencilcase wth my thumbdrive tht have all my reports & asgmts!!
My cardigan
My calculator
My camera
My Ipod
My lip balm, lip gloss etc
All these would have be gone in seconds.
REPORTS & ASGMTS, my work, I would curse the thief if I had lost my thumbdrive!! :s





Later in the afternoon, Mummy dropped some absolutely FANTABULOUS news!! She was asking me either a Sat buffet dinner or a Sun buffet luncheon? Our option was initially Sat night, but it was fully booked. So we ended up booking Fri night.

Drools all over: Grilled venison loin wth parsnip (wha-)? mash

Totally mouth-watering & equally drool-licious dishes looking at the pics.
Can't wait for the day. Have to eat less during lunch to avoid overeating at buffet.
I might even wear my plaid dress that night. ^u^
I will have plenty of pics to show.. Yay.
